Officials gather for the Operation Medicine Cabinet ribbon-cutting ceremony last year at the Clawson Police Department. They are (from left): Police Chief Harry Anderson, holding the scissors; Beverly Owens, community organizer for Clawson Community Coalition; Gabe Zawaideh of Clawson Pharmacy; Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard; and Laurie Thiel of Alliance Mobile Health.
Every Thursday from 4-6 p.m., the Clawson Police Department welcomes medicine drop-offs from the community. They will only accept prescription medications and liquids must be sealed. Syringes and inhalers are not acceptable.
