5 Things to Know This Week: Farmer's Market Closes, City Planning Commission Meets

Here's the scoop on what's happening in Clawson for the week of Sept. 24.

 

1. The Black Lotus will hold 'Open Mic Night' on Monday beginning at 9 p.m. Come showcase your talent at the event which is open to all musicians and singers.

2. The Clawson City Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, located at 425 N. Main Street.

3. The Clawson TNT 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is fast approaching on Oct. 13. Sign up before Oct. 6 at Hunter Community Center to guarantee a T-Shirt. The event will be held at City Park.

4. The Clawson Parks and Recreation Department is seeking the input of residents for updating the Parks & Rec. Master Plan.  Residents are asked to take a short survey found on the city's website to discuss what activities and events you and your family enjoy in the city.

5. Sunday will mark the final day of the season for the Clawson Farmer's Market. One free ear of roasted corn will be offered to market-goers, and there will be a special cooking demonstration at 12:30 p.m. In addition, the Clawson Food Bank will be collecting donations of food.
