There's a lot going on in our area this weekend, so we've collected some of the highlights to share with you.
'Hunter House: The Movie' Premiere
- When: 6 p.m. Sunday.
- Where: Hunter House Hamburgers.
- Cost: Free.
- Why Go: Come see the premiere of Hunter House: The Movie, a documentary celebrating the 60th anniversary of Birmingham's Hunter House Hamburgers. Things kick off at 6 p.m. with a performance by the Aaron Vaughn Band. The movie premieres at 7:30 p.m. There will be free popcorn and cupcakes, as well as plenty of Hunter House sliders for sale. DVDs of the movie will be on sale, with all profits going toward the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
Fire safety open house
- When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
- Where: Berkley Public Safety Department.
- Cost: Free.
- Why go: The family-friendly event will include a chili cook-off, fire safety tips, a live burn, an extrication and more.
- What else: Contact the Public Safety Department on Facebook to RSVP.
Go Comedy All Star Showdown
- When: 8 p.m., 10 p.m. Saturday.
- Where: Go Comedy! Improv Theater, E. 9 Mile Road, Ferndale.
- Cost: $15.
- Why go: Play as big a role as you want during short improv games, challenges and more in this interactive, improvised game show, billed as "one part 'Whose Line is it Anyway,' and one part 'Match Game PM'."

Family Day Paint Party
- When: 1 p.m. Saturday.
- Where: Paint Party Royal Oak, 2514 W. 14 Mile Road, Royal Oak.
- Cost: $20 includes an 11x14 canvas, paint, brushes and an apron.
- Why go: Paint Bird on a Branch and customize it with your own color choices.
- What else: You don't have to be a kid or bring a kid to paint – everyone age 7 and older is welcome. Feel free to bring a snack and beverage.
Clawson Farmers Market
- When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
- Where: City Park, West Elmwood and North Custer Avenues, Clawson.
- Cost: Free.
- Why go: The Clawson Farmers Market features vendors from all over Michigan selling fresh fruits and veggies, plus local groups and businesses.
