Happy Monday: School Board Meeting, Pageant and Mavericks Registration Open
A roundup of meetings, events and announcements in Clawson this week.
Meetings
- The Clawson School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Baker Administration Building. The agenda includes discussion of board goals, a City Park lease and a resolution authorizing a millage proposition for the November election. (See PDF)
- The City Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.
Events
- The Clawson Farmers Market is open every Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at City Park. The market features music, vendors from all over Michigan and local organizations.
Announcements
- Applications are now available for the Clawson Miss Princess and Young Miss Clawson pageants. Visit the pageant websitefor an application or contact Linda Gould at 248-408-0937. Contestant must be a Clawson resident, attend school in Clawson, or have a parent working in Clawson.
- The Clawson Mavericks football team is looking for youth ages 12-13 who want to play football. To be eligible to play your child can't turn 14 before November 1 and can't be a high school student. The weight limit for varsity players is 170 pounds. Registration is $155 which includes a practice jersey, and a customized game jersey your child gets to keep at the end of the season.
