Levin to Face Volaric in 9th Congressional District Race
Macomb County businessman Don Volaric will face U.S. Rep. Sander Levin in the general election to represent Michigan's 9th Congressional District in Washington.
Macomb County businessman Don Volaric won the Republican primary Tuesday in the 9th Congressional District Primary Tuesday to face incumbent Sander Levin.
With 100 percent of Oakland and Macomb County precincts reporting, Volaric defeated Gregory Dildilian in the Republican primary and will face Levin in the general election, according to unofficial results.
Levin, who was unopposed in the primary, has served in Congress since 1982.
The candidates are running in the newly redrawn district which includes southern Macomb and Oakland counties.

Gotta keep him! He does a wonderful job :)...LET'S GET AND VOTE...I was sad to see that less than 24% of Ferndale got out to vote!?! Come on guys! You lose your voice when you don't speak out...Regardless how inconvenient it may be in your day, when you don't vote you are fulfilling someone else's agenda...that's from Rachel Maddow :)

This man is an Israeli citizen. What the hell is wrong with people who vote for him?

They obviously do not smoke in their hookah the same stuff you do Richard. Why don't you just come out and say he's a Jew, and in your opinion that is what is also wrong with many who vote for him, that is your real problem is it not? Oh yes he is probably a Zionist occupier of Palestine too. You are what you are a garden variety Jew hating anti-semite not uncommon to this area. Can't help but notice that you have provided below a complete list of interchangable Jewish Israeli Zionist conspirators that really control the government according to your sick beliefs.

Levin was born in Detroit to Bess (née Levinson) and Saul R. Levin. He graduated from Central High School in Detroit, received a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1952, a Master's degree in international relations from Columbia University in 1954, and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1957. Nothing about Israel here.

You failed to mention that Volairc and Levin have now officially joined a field of candidates that have already qualifed for the November ballot. I for one am supporting Libertarian Jim Fulner. He's certainly a better choice than either of these Yahoos.

Anti semitism spreads like a noxious weed, what a co-incidence and as I said previously you are what you are and your diatribe is so typical of your kind of hater.

Levin has to go. He has become to complacent and has been in office just to long. Time for some new blood with new energy.

What do you suggest? Another country club Republican from the Engler school.? Do you seriously think you would be invited into their inner circle without American Express? While I think both Stabenow and Levin need a lesson on staying in touch with who elected them I will not jump out of this frying pan yet as the Republicans only know how to add to the fire that is destroying the working class, er ok if you prefer "middle class" a term that is becoming increasingly a fiction. Trickle down? Been there done that. Remember "let them eat government cheese" Reagan, the hero of Wall Street billionaires with Swiss bank accounts and Cayman Island trusts.

Levin is part of the problem, he has the old more taxes and more spending mindset that drove Michigan broke.

Kerry Benitivolio will win the contested seat because he wants smaller government, lower taxes and to rein in government spending. No more welfare state at our expense!

More prisons at a 100K a year cost per inmate, and more cops is the answer I suppose? Work is preferable to welfare but Republicans only hire undocumented workers with light complexions.

Levin is and has been so complacent these past several years it is getting to be a joke. These career politicians are only interested in themselves these days. Mr. Levin, with due respect, it has come time for "change' as your President himself has told all of us.

It is sad to me that people still go out and vote a straight ticket because of what a political party supposedly stands for instead of researching each candidate and determining who they are and what they stand for as individuals.
Is it not possible for you to be a Democrat or Republican and possibly agree with a candidate of a different political affiliation more than the one that represents your party?
It's not right to group all Dems or all Reps together, it's as ignorant as stereotyping race, gender, or religion based on a small group.
