Tigers to Face A's in the Playoffs
The Detroit Tigers will face the Oakland A's in the first round of the playoffs.
The Detroit Tigers will take on the Oakland A's in the first round of the playoffs.
The match-up wasn't finalized until late Wednesday after the A's beat the Rangers 12-5, and the Yankees defeated the Red Sox 14-2. The Tigers had clinched their spot in the playoffs Monday.
First pitch for the game will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Comerica Park, according to the Tigers website.
The series will be a rematch of the 2006 American League Championship Series, which the Tigers won.
The Tigers will also play Sunday; that game time has not been determined. As of Thursday morning, tickets to Saturday night's game were still available for $40-$80; here's where you buy them online.
