“Clawson Arts & Authors Festival brings family arts, literature, and music to the community!”
Clawson-based ‘Elevating Arts’ will hold its annual ‘Arts and Authors’ Festival this Sunday, August 26th 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hunter Community Center of Clawson MI located at 509 Fisher Court.
The event is family friendly and free to the public! This year’s festival will house artists of all kinds, authors and children authors, crafters, and musical performances all from Michigan’s local creative community.
“Our goal with a festival like this is to engage my own neighborhood in a community experience that is entertaining for families as well as uplifting to our own local arts scene.” Matthew Ball – Arts Director.
The festival is now accepting submissions from local artists, authors, crafters, and musicians through July 15th. Details on the event and submission process can be found on the web @ www.elevatethearts.vpweb.com

More About Hunter Community Center
Hunter Community Center provides community events space for Clawson residents of all ages. The center includes a children's playground and a large field for soccer and other sports. The center provides space for creative workshops for adults and children, including painting, dance and crafting. Classes include fitness programs like gymnastics and aerobics.
