Kenwood Baseball/Kickball Field is now under construction. Friday the catch basins were installed in the outfield to help with drainage.
Tomorrow we are cutting the infield sod out and creating a swale in the outfield which will assist with the drainage as well. We have a site superintendant leading the charge, however most of the people working are from 2 companies working for free
We could use any assistance possible which would include a little labor or simple things like food and water. If you can faind a couple hours to help, please bring a shovel and rake.
This new field will be used to beautify the city, add additional playing space for youth baseball and soccer, and allow our local elementary kids to play more field sports during school hours.
Come see the positive efforts that Kenwood PTA is making at our playground.

More About Kenwood Elementary School
Home of the Frogs! Kenwood is one of two elementary schools in the Clawson public school system, and has about 306 students. Founded in 1927, the school is known for its "Mud Puppies" program, which teaches students how to garden. It also offers art programs, a dance club, Kenwood Kid News and a school band.
