“ Fourteen year old, AJ Rowe wins The City of Clawson’s Arts and Cultural Foundation Young Writers Competition! Manuscript will be presented at The Clawson Arts & Authors Festival this September 8th 2013!”

Clawson’s 2cd annual ‘Arts and Authors’ Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 8th 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. outdoors at City Park in Clawson on Elmwood running in conjunction with the City’s farmers market. 

 

The FREE event features family and kids activities which will include balloon artists, face painters, kid’s crafts, and much more, as well as all Michigan artists, crafters, authors, and musicians.

Moreover this year will present a gifted 14 year old writer named Alexandar Rowe, who won Clawson’s 1st annual writing contest with his short story about a pirate adventure titled 'Falsely Accused'.

In honor of AJ Rowe’s book, volunteers at the event will dress in the era of Pirates!

 

Anyone interested in being a participant in the event still has time to be a part.  The festival accepts submissions up to August 23rd, and is looking for volunteers to help out.  More detail on the event and submission process can be found on the web @ www.elevatethearts.vpweb.com
