Eleven Renaissance Fencing Club Fencers Medal at the Arnold Classic This Past Weekend

For the past twenty-six years thousands of athletes have convened in Columbus, Ohio for the largest health and fitness expo in the world - the Arnold Sports Festival. Body builders, wrestlers and tennis players mingle with swimmers and track and field team members. The highlight of this event for several Detroit area members of the Renaissance Fencing Club was the "Arnold Fencing Classic". Twenty-one fencers competed in the event  - with eleven of them taking home medals. "I could not be more happy with the results." Said Stanna Stoner, club manager, "these fencers have worked very hard over the last few seasons, and their dedication is paying off."
Scott Crompton, father of Y12 Women's Foil silver medal winner Celia Crompton agrees. "Celia has been training hard for this event - I love that she has found a sport which she can both enjoy and excel in."

We offer youth and adult classes, as well as private lessons. Our instructors include Collegiate coaches, World Cup fencers and National Level fencers. Evening and weekend classes are available.
