You're Safer in Clawson than Almost Anywhere Else in Michigan

Where’s one if the safest places to live in Michigan?

Clawson, which ranked eighth on the list of Michigan’s 50 safest cities released Wednesday the national security organization SafeWise.

“North of Detroit and just west of the I-75 is the “sweetest” city in Michigan. At just over two square miles, Clawson is a town where every amenity and public service is within walking distance. It’s also a community of friends and neighbors, evidenced by its very low crime rates. 2012 saw no murders and very few property crimes.

“For anyone with a sweet tooth—or perhaps an enterprising dentist looking for a place to hang his shingle—Clawson is your kind of town. Home to Doc Sweets is Michigan’s largest retail candy store, offering everything from Abba Zaba to Zotz.
