in Clawson celebrated its 40th anniversary Thursday afternoon with a joyous extravaganza.
Residents and employees joined members of the community inside the assisted-living facility to commemorate this special occasion as they cooled off with sweet treats and upbeat entertainment.
Various finger foods and refreshments were set up near the Cambridge North dining room, while the self-creation ice cream station seemed to be most popular on what was the hottest day of the year thus far. Jack Dalton, a local entertainer, crooned classic songs while many residents, who were all smiles, tapped their toes along to the melody.
The assisted-living facility has been a strong part of the community since 1971, offering care to residents of all ages through skilled nursing, rehabilitation and recreational activities. The center employs over 100 skilled professional who, at any given time, provide both short-term and long-term care for 120 patients.
“We’re very fortunate because many families will chose our location because it is centrally located and they are able to visit often,” said Kaye Willis, an admission coordinator for Cambridge North.
Cambridge North is located at 535 N. Main St.
