5 p.m. Jan. 22: The contest is now closed. Thanks to all those that participated, and stay tuned to Patch for updates on the winner and more exciting news from Bloomfield Township and Bloomfield Hills.

It's clear from the crowds on Tuesday's grand opening that Bloomfield-area shoppers were more than ready to experience the new Trader Joe's at Bloomfield Plaza.

To help celebrate, Bloomfield-Bloomfield Hills Patch wants to offer loyal readers and Trader Joe's patrons $50 to spend on their favorite foods, wines, and other goods that have helped define the national chain for decades. All you need to do is upload a photo or two of your favorite Trader Joe's products to this story, and you're eligible to win! Just click the 'upload photo' button above to get started.

One winner will be selected at random after the contest closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. Though it may not influence the outcome, we're hopeful that readers use this opportunity to connect with others and learn about how and why they use these products to enrich their lives. So please tell us in the comments why these items are your favorites, or share a recipe so that others may be willing to try and see for themselves.

Like any contest, this one has rules, too. Here they are:

  • To enter, upload at least one photo of your favorite Trader Joe's product.
  • All entries must be received by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22 Eastern Time.

Can't start the day without my favorite breakfast… Trader Joe's Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt with TJ's Pineapple Tidbits… helped me lose 14 lbs two years ago. I also love TJ's Sipping Chocolate… sinfully good! Only available in November and December and sells out quickly, so I stocked up and bought 6 tins this year. I will have to show a little restraint so I don't gain back those pounds, lol!

I love Trader Joe's organic vanilla greek yogurt. Although I have many favorites from TJ, I would miss this yogurt greatly if it was no longer available. I will use it in smoothies, add fresh fruit and nuts to it, add granola to it or just enjoy it by itself! As for some of my other favorite products... Cranberry juice, pizza sauce in a jar, organic bagged spinach, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, frozen waffles, organic coconut oil and the apple sausage. Why? Because they taste good!

Trader Joe's is my go-to store for snacks, meals, desserts... pretty much everything! One of my favorite recipes though is combining Trader Joe's Pumpkin Bread & Muffin Mix with a can of pumpkin puree (NOT pumpkin pie filling). You mix the two ingredients together in a bowl, and then use an ice cream scooper to place a dollop of the mixture into individualized cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, using a toothpick to test. That's it! No milk, eggs, flour, etc. You can also do the same with TJ's Reduced Guilt Brownie Mix- trust me, you won't even taste the pumpkin! It comes out very fudgy and moist. My other tip is: To jazz up almonds (one of the most heart-healthy snacks around), try adding dried cranberries and freeze dried banana slices (NOT the oily fried banana chips) to a sandwich bag mixture to munch on during the day... delicious and satisfying!

St. Somewhere wine--I thought it was a funny name, but it was a very good wine and now it's gone somewhere! (We drank it) I'll have to go back to Trader Joe's tomorrow and buy more.
