51 North Brewery Sets June 20 Grand Opening in Lake Orion
Lake Orion’s 51 North Brewery – named for its address at number 51 North Broadway, will host its grand opening on June 20. The brewery is owned by Mary and Don Gindhart, who stock a diverse lineup of hand-crafted beers, wines and meads, all made in-house. The brewery also offers food pairings to complement the craft beverages.

Jaycees seeking competitors and sponsors for chili cook-off
The Royal Oak Jaycees are seeking local restaurants, individuals and organizations to help them bring a little heat to south Oakland County this September. The Jaycees will host the South Oakland Chili Cook-Off at the Royal Oak Farmers Market from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. Restaurants, businesses, community organizations and individuals are welcome to enter their chili into the competition.

'The Happy Hour Guys' Come to Bagger Dave's This Week
Broadway actors Jimmy Ludwig and Mark Aldrich, aka The Happy Hour Guys, will kick off Bagger Dave's' 2013 BEERmuda Triangle Tour on Thursday in Berkley. The event – which will include a Detroit Summer Beer Fest ticket giveaway and a private beer and food tasting with Ludwig and Aldrich for special guests who entered in advance – will be documented for The Happy Hour Guys video series.
