Weekend Planner: The Halloween Edition

Check out what's going on in Clawson this weekend.

1.

Wear your costume to and join in for Halloween stories and crafts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be provided. Please register for this free program in the library or by calling 248-588-5500.

Kids in Halloween costumes can walk the downtown area starting at noon Saturday and stop at businesses for toys and allergy-free treats. There may even be a few tricks along the way!

The Downtown Development Authority will sponsor a Pumpkin Pub Crawl for adults to put on their costumes and stop at the downtown bars for drink specials, costume judging and free pizza. The bars featured in the event are , , , and . Participants can register at from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday for $10 person.

A Community Halloween Party and Dance hosted by the Junior Optimist Clubs of Clawson will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the . Everyone is welcome! Admission is $5 with costume, $6 without. Children younger than 3 get in free and families of four are charged $5. The event will feature a DJ, dancing, games, prizes, food, beverages, costume contest, haunted hallway and a 50/50 raffle.

Bring the kids all dressed up out to at 6 p.m. Sunday for the annual Trick-or-Treat Trail. There will stations set up for little ones to get goodies. Please bring a flashlight and candy bag. Prior to the trick-or-treating there will be a pumpkin carving contest. Please drop off your pumpkins between 4:30 p.m and 5 p.m. The judging will begin at 5 p.m.
