Voters will be asked to renew the non-homstead millage on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

This does not impact tax rates on primary residences in Clawson.

This is a renewal for owners of second homes or commercial/industrial property; they will continue to pay the same number of mills they have for the past 10 years.

In 2003, voters in the Clawson Public School District approved the levy on 19 mills on non-homestead property.  Non-homestead property is primarily commercial and industrial property and second homes.  Those 19 mills will expire with the 2012 tax levy.

These mills represent $1,746,605 in funding for our schools, or about 8% of our District budget.
