Clawson Marching Band Received Superior Rating at Marching Band Festival
CLAWSON H.S. MARCHING BAND ACHIEVES SUPERIOR RATING IN RECENT COMPETITION
The 64-member Clawson High School Marching Band received a top score (Superior rating) at the recent Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association (MSBOA) 16th District Marching Band Festival. The competition was held at Troy High School October 10TH & 11TH.

At the Festival, marching bands are adjudicated by three judges, one in each of the following categories:
· Music

· Marching and Maneuvering, and
· General Effect Showmanship.
Clawson received a Superior rating in each classification. Each band has a 15 minute block of time to enter the field, perform their show and exit the field. Bands are in motion 80% of the time. “This is the first time Clawson has achieved a perfect score,” said Director Kevin Phillips.
