5 Things to Know This Week: Children's Magic Classes, Winter Artists' Market, City Council Meets

Here's the scoop on what's happening in Clawson for the week of Nov. 19.

1. The Clawson City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, located at 425 N. Main Street.

2.  will hold children's magic classes this Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for children ages 7-13. The cost is $100 per six sessions. Those who sign up will receive a magic kit to hold all supplies, a magic wand, a performance mat, and a punch card good for six lessons anytime within the next six months. 

3. Thanksgiving is Thursday! Check back in on the Clawson Patch for a list of locations in the city that will be open on Thanksgiving, as well as restaurants (just in case you burn the turkey!).

4. Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24. All American Express customers who enroll their card and spend over $25 at a qualifying small business location on Saturday can receive a one-time bonus of $25 cash back. Click here for a list of participating locations.

5. Leon & Lulu will host the 14th annual Winter Artists' Market Sunday at 11 a.m. Customers can shop the store and purchase wall art, jewelry, ceramics, photography, fiber art and more from over 40 Michigan artists. Tips and donations will benefit the Salvation Army.
