5 Things You Should Know Today: Aug. 8

The Clawson School Board meets tonight and don't forget to donate school supplies at City Hall.

Here's what's going on in Clawson today:

1. Clawson weather: Partly cloudy skies, 84 degrees and a slight 20 percent chance of precipitation will give way to a pleasant August day. According to the National Weather Service, the low tonight will be 67 degrees, but watch out for a possible isolated thunderstorm.

2. The  will hold its monthly board meeting at 7 p.m. A candidate for interim principal for Kenwood is expected to be presented at the meeting at the .

4. A reminder that the  is collecting school supplies for needy children in a drop box at  until Aug. 19. it is also collecting gently used backpacks in which to stuff new supplies for the students.
