5 Things You Should Know Today: July 20
Trash day, Mavericks meet-n-greet and another day of 90-degree weather for the area.
1. Clawson Weather: The expected high for today is 95 degrees and the National Weather Service in Detroit warns the heat index could reach 101 degrees. Expect patchy fog before 9 a.m., but sunny skies for the rest of the day.
2. This is a friendly reminder that today is trash pickup day for Clawson residents. The Department of Public Works does accept barbecue grills, lawn mowers, bicycles and small metal items for recycling.
3. The Clawson Mavericks will host a meet-n-greet at City Park from 6-8 p.m. Registered participants will be able to meet with coaches and do a few drills or cheers.

4. The will host a 'Have Fun with Farkle' game session at 1 p.m. Seniors 55 and older can learn how to play Farkle, which is a dice game.
5. If you're looking for somewhere to cool off today, is open from noon-8 p.m.
