In Trust and Neglect: As Michigan Ages, Serious Errors Plague Many Nursing Homes — Sometimes They Are Deadly, the newspaper published a database of nursing homes in the state, ranking them according to data generated by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The nursing homes also received star ratings in staffing, quality measure and health inspection. Cambridge earned four stars overall. The nursing home, which has 115 residents, had 43 violations overall in the past three years. The statewide average for violations is 45. Violations include unacceptable noise levels and dangerous food or water temperatures.
