Clawson to Light Holiday Tree Monday Night

The annual event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Blair Memorial Library.

Monday at Memorial Park, adjacent to Blair Memorial Library.

The event, a collaboration between the city and Optimists Club, will feature Christmas caroling beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the library's gazebo. Following at 7 p.m., kids will cheer for a guest appearance from Santa Claus who will arrive on the arm of the Mayor. Santa will greet the crowd and the city will light the tree for the first time this holiday season.

This year, the key to the city will be presented to Santa by Tracey Borg, who won the title of "Mayor for a Day" during a Clawson Chamber of Commerce auction in September.
