1. Let Them Eat Cake!

Why go: Leon & Lulu is having a 2011 Pro-Am Baking Extravaganza "Let Them Eat Cake" to help celebrate the store's fifth birthday. You must make a delicious dessert that meets diabetic standards. Desserts will be judged upon texture, flavor and appearance by Kate Lawson of The Detroit News.

2. Table of Treasures

Where/when: 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at

Why go: The Senior Center is hosting an indoor garage sale and craft sale with more than 50 tables of gently used items and crafts. There will also be a bake sale. Admission is free.

3. Fish Fry

Where/when: 4:30-7 p.m. Friday at

Why go: The Knights of Columbus is having an all-you-can-eat fish fry on Friday. Included in your dinner are baked and fried fish, crab cakes, macaroni and cheese, baked or fried potatoes, rolls, vegetables, dessert and a beverage.

Pricing: $8 adults, $7.50 seniors, $4.50 children

4. Paint N' Party

Where/when: 1-4 p.m. Saturday at , 325 E. Fourth St.

Why go: Vintner's Cellar of Royal Oak is offering a Paint N' Party. Cathy Wake will lead this class as participants paint their own canvases while enjoying a wine tasting.  There will also be cheese and crackers. Call 734-250-2193 for more information.

5. Lions Club Pancake Breakfast

Where/when: 8 a.m.-noon Sunday at

Why go: The Clawson Lions Club is having a pancake breakfast to benefit several community causes supported by the organization.

Pricing: $5 for eggs to order, French toast, strawberry or blueberry pancakes and a beverage.
