Images: Claws & Paws Draws a Crowd

The Claws & Paws Walk for Homeless Animals took place Saturday morning with a Pet Fair and Pet Adoption program afterward at Clawson City Park.

A police car escort slowly rolled down Elmwood on Saturday morning, guiding a large group of dog walkers and event joggers through the streets of Clawson at the annual .

The 10 a.m. walk ended at the Pet Fair and pet adoption program in Clawson City Park. Pet adoption agencies, rescue groups and vendors filled booths with animals, information and merchandise.

And although the weather wasn't great — rain for the second year in a row — there was plenty of amusement with demonstrations from trained dogs, a large mix of pets mingling about and free food from the and .
