Pet of the Week: Spot the Labrador Mix

Spot is a fixture on the Leon & Lulu scene.

Step inside in downtown Clawson on any given day and you’ll more than likely find Spot, a loveable white-haired Pointer/Shepherd/Labrador mix, distinguished by two large brown spots on his back and another on his left eye.

Adopted at the Detroit Zoo’s annual “Meet Your Best Friend” event, Spot has just celebrated his third birthday. His owner, Kegan Scannell, refers to him as an all-around friendly, well-trained companion who enjoys being around others.

Spot’s gentle demeanor is known throughout the store as he sure knows how to steal the attention of customers and get rewarded for it with a treat from his cookie bowl near the checkout counter.

“Spot’s a great dog and he’s always looking for new friends so if anyone wants to come in and say hello, feel free,” Scannell said.
