UPDATE: Wintry Mix to Transition to Snow by Midday

Precipitation expected to continue through late-morning

The wintry mix of rain, snow and sleet is expected to continue through late morning developing into snowfall by midday Tuesday, meteorologists say.

The National Weather Service said the winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon. Total snow accumulations will be less than a half inch, according to the weather service.

Temperatures on Tuesday will peak above freezing with a high of  36 degrees and a night low of 14. The temperatures for the remainder of the week will fall back into the 20s.
