Snowfall Could Slow Morning Commute

With a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 11 a.m., Clawson area could see 1-3 inches of snow today.

If you're leaving for work or school this morning, you may want to allow yourself some extra commute time.

The National Weather Service said drivers can expect slick and snow-covered roads that are likely to slow rush hour traffic this morning. Total snow accumulations are expected to be 1-3 inches, with the snow tapering off by mid-morning. The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. for Clawson and surroundings areas.

Today's high will be about 30 degrees, according to the weather service, with a chance of flurries tonight. There is a 70 percent chance of snow Saturday.
