Viewfinder: Community Enjoys Tasty Treats and Band Tunes
There was an Ice Cream Social at City Park on Wednesday as well as a performance by the South Oakland Concert Band.
The held an Ice Cream Social at on Wednesday evening as part of the city's pre-July 4 celebration. Hundreds came out to purchase a bowl of ice cream with some strawberry shortcake fixings.
A crowd formed quickly around the South Oakland Concert Band as they began to perform some big band tunes at the event.
And though the kids didn't seem to appreciate the music too much, they loved the ice cream and burned off all that sugar on the many playground structures at the park.

The also offered beverages and T-shirts while the Clawson Fourth of July Committee held a to raise some money, all proceeds going directly back into the city's Fourth of July fund.
