Weekend Planner: Mark James Band, Farmers Market, Teen Skate Night and More

Here's a roundup of weekend events in Clawson and surrounding areas.

The Farmers Market is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at City Park. Vendors from throughout Michigan will sell fresh fruits and vegetables and even specialty items such as sauces. Check out from opening day July 17.

The Mark James Band will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the . Enjoy live music, dancing and good food.

Stagecrafters Youth Theater presents Disney's Camp Rock the Musical at 7 p.m. Saturday. Youths age 8-18 will perform in the show based on the Disney Channel's original movie about campers who prepare for the ultimate talent showdown. The theater is located at 415 S. Lafayette Ave. in Royal Oak. Admission costs $10 for adults, $6 for children.

Looking for fun weekend activities for teenagers? , 2825 E. Maple Rd. in Troy, hosts a Teen Skate Night from 8-11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. The cost is $7 plus $2 for skate rental.

, 261 E. Nine Mile Rd. in Ferndale, will host an All Star Showdown at 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It's a hilarious improvised game show that invites audience participation. Admission costs $15.
