Clawson Voters to Decide One Race, Millage Increase Question in Nov. 5 Election

Three candidates are seeking two spots on the Clawson City Council. Voters will also asked to approve millage increase for garbage collection and disposal.

Mayor Penny Luebs is unopposed and voters will choose between three people for two seats on the city council.

Council candidates are Jim Horton, Thomas A. Palmer (incumbent) and Deborah Wooley.

Additionally, voters will be asked to approve a millage increase to restore funding lost to the Headlee Amendment to provide funds for garbage collection and disposal. The requested increase is 85 cents per $1,000 taxable valuation.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

  • Precinct 1 votes at Kenwood Elementary School, 240 Nahma
  • Precinct 2 votes at City Hall Community Center, 425 N. Main
  • Precinct 3 votes at Baker Administration Building, 626 Phillips
  • Precinct 4 votes at Clawson High School, 101 John M
  • Precinct 5 votes at Schalm Elementary School, 940 N. Selfridge
