Join the Belle Isle Conservancy (BIC) on September 21, 2013 for the last installment of Belle Isle Summer Saturdays (BLISS) in conjunction with BIC's Stewardship.
The BLISS finale features TASHMOO Biergarten, a "pop-up party" with communal seating, music, food and Michigan brews (jolly pumpkin beer anyone?). The family-friendly event also includes games from Cornhole to Candyland.
From 9am to noon, volunteers can help clean up Belle Isle for Stewardship Day. In addition to the Park's regular offerings - Belle Isle Aquarium, Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Belle Isle Nature Zoo - visitors can attend yoga classes, rent kayaks, take a horse/pony ride and enjoy food from an array of authentic Detroit food trucks.
