Clawson Historical Museum to Host Tour, Youth Program and Soup Fundraiser

The museum has a few upcoming events you may want to mark your calendar for.

Growing Up During the Great Depression

At 2 p.m. Aug. 7 the museum will host a history program for youth at . The program will explore what life was like in Clawson during the Great Depression. There will be pictures, interesting artifacts from the museum and hands-on activities. Registration is requested; call 248-588-9169.

Smartphone Historic Tour

From 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 16 there will be a smartphone historic tour of downtown Clawson beginning at . Participants will have the option of using smartphones to scan codes that will show historical information on their phones. The tours are at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. There will be historical displays and refreshments at Leon & Lulu. The event is free.  

Soup Fundraiser

On Oct. 6, the museum will host a soup lunch fundraiser from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at . If you are interested in helping with the event or would like to donate a kettle of soup call 248-588-9169. The museum is raising money to install a climate control system in its building.
