Farm Animals Are Coming to Clawson in September

Families will have a chance to watch a demonstration and participate in farm animal activities at the Farmers Market.

Chickens, baby pigs and milking cows will soon make an appearance at the .

Market organizers have invited Farmer Joe and the Sugarbush Farm from Ypsilanti to perform a demonstration on Sunday Sept. 9 from 10:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Joe Tashnick, known as Farmer Joe, will host a cow-milking demonstration and children and adults will have a chance to milk the cows as well. The demonstration is free and will occur every 15 minutes. All of the farm animals will be held in a grass area adjacent to the east end of the market at .

The Clawson Farmers Market is open every Sunday through Sept. 30 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with the exception of Labor Day weekend.
