Clawson Optimist Clubs

A Star Spangled Banner Program; A Spaghetti Dinner

Have you ever wondered about our national anthem?  What do the words mean?  How does this encourage the spirit of America?    Find out on Thursday April 18th when the Optimist Club presents A Star Spangled Banner program, 7:30pm-8:30 pm in the Clawson High School Auditorium. Speakers - David Collins, with a presentation by Judge Meister, and our high school choir.

The Clawson Junior Optimist Advisers Club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month 6 - 7pm at Clawson Middle School Media Center.  Optimists are, well, optimistic.   We try to bring out the best in kids and develop optimism as a way of life.  The adult and junior optimists participate in Food Drives, Coney Days, the Tree Lighting, Relay for Life , Oratorical contests and other volunteer activities.  We have an Optimist Club in each grade school; middle school and high school.

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser is planned for April 24th, 4:30 - 7:30 pm at Clawson City Hall.  $7.00 per adults. Students k-12 & seniors are $5.00 each.  Kids under 4 are free.  Proceeds benefit community service projects and our scholarship program.  Advance ticket purchase appreciated, contact Gail Avey at 248 224 9117.
