Clawson Police Say Teens Were Followed by Stranger

Police are increasing patrols around the schools in response to the incident.

Police are warning residents to be on the lookout after a stranger in a blue car tried to pick up two 14-year-old Clawson teens as they walked home from Clawson Middle School on Tuesday, April 23.

The teens told police the man - who was driving an older blue car - drove past them several times and at one point said hello and offered them a ride, according to an article in the Oakland Press.

The girls refused and kept walking, the article states.

Clawson Police told the Oakland Press they have increased patrols around the schools and are asking anyone with information to call police at 248.435.5000.
