Customer Steals Wallet; Resident Reports Money Taken From Cars

Clawson police are searching for a man seen taking a wallet on surveillance video at the drug store on West 14 Mile Road in Clawson July 6. A police report said a Berkley man, dropped his wallet near the entrance doors around 9:15 p.m. and didn't notice it was missing until the next morning.
The customer who was in the check-out line behind the Berkley man spotted the wallet, picked it up and walked out, the report said. The man who grabbed the wallet was wearing a green shirt and is estimated to be in his 40s. The victim said wallet's contents included a Chase credit card and $200 in cash.

A resident on the 200 block of Park Drive said someone entered two vehicles parked in her driveway around 1 a.m. July 10 and took change from both cars. The vehicles were unlocked, a police report said.
