Drunken Driving, Larcenies from Cars Reported to Clawson Police

Highlights of recent reports at the Clawson Police Department include:

  • A helpful neighbor reported to Clawson Police that she observed a man stealing rims and chrome lugnuts from another man's car on the 400 block of North Rochester on July 15.

    Police said that the incident, reported at 4:48 a.m., involved a single man taking 19-inch rims and lugs worth $400 from a 28-year-old Clawson resident's Chrysler 300. A print recovered from the scene is believed to be unusable. Police have no suspects.
  • A 36-year-old Royal Oak man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop on July 18 at 12:25 a.m.

    Police said that the man, who was pulled over for driving with a malfunctioning tail light, refused a preliminary breath test at the scene of the stop on 14 Mile Road and Rochester. He later registered a .11 percent blood alcohol content.

  • A 25-year-old man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle, not carrying a driver's license, and an equipment citation following a traffic stop on July 17 at 9:40 p.m.

    Police said that the man, who hails from another country, registered a .18 blood alcohol content following the traffic stop at 14 Mile Road and Manitou.

  • A 24-year-old Davison man was cited for driving with expired plates and marijuana possession following a traffic stop on July 17 at 8:42 p.m.

    Police said that the man, who has a criminal bench warrant out of Royal Oak on a possession of marijuana charge, was carrying 7.7 grams of marijuana when police stopped him on Crooks Road.

  • A 34-year-old Birmingham man was arrested for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on at 14 Mile Road and Manitou.

    Police said that they found 15 grams of marijuana in his 2003 Infiniti following the traffic stop, which took place July 17 at 5:03 p.m.
