Drunken Driving, Larcenies Reported to Clawson Police

Highlights of recent reports at the Clawson Police Department include:

  • A 53-year-old Southfield man was arrested for drunken driving on July 29 at 2:33 a.m. following a traffic stop on at 14 Mile Road and Florence. Police said that following the traffic stop, which made made for speeding, that the man registered a blood-alcohol content of .09 percent.

  • A 49-year-old Royal Oak man was arrested for drunken driving for the third time on July 25 at 7:04 p.m. following a traffic stop near 14 Mile Road and Main. Police said that the man registered a blood-alcohol content of .30. He was later given a personal bond of $100,000.

  • A 48-year-old Clawson man on the 1300 block of North Selfridge reported his license plates stolen and car scratched after he parked it overnight on July 24-25. The man told police that he had no problems with anyone in the area and police closed the case due a lack of leads on a possible suspect.

  • A representative of a Holt, MI company specializing in traffic control reported a flashing target arrow board, worth $4,000, missing from a project site in Clawson on July 23. The company had been contracted to work traffic control during a construction project on Maple Road between Livernois and Crooks on June 3-7.
      
  • A 75-year-old woman on 908 Elmsford reported on July 24 at 12:18 p.m. that she believes a pair of sunglasses she had purchased was either stolen or not delivered from UPS.
