Pair Caught Shoplifting Lash Out as Store Manager Injured, Police Say

Takeisha Monique Mays, 26, of Toledo, and Nadia Monique McDonald, 30, of Flint, were arrested following the incident at Rite Aid.

A shoplifting scene earlier this month at Rite Aid in Clawson quickly devolved into violence and destruction and a pair of women were arrested.

Witnesses to the scene on Aug. 9 just before 12 noon told police that Takeisha Monique Mays, 26, of Toledo, and Nadia Monique McDonald, 30, of Flint, sent off an alarm after trying to leave the store with a box of condoms concealed in a purse.

A manager at the store, a 32-year-old man, suffered a minor cut in the ensuing confrontation, even after he said that if the women gave the stolen merchandise back that he would not call the police, according to reports.
