Police Blotter: Clawson Man Pulls Gun as Car Is Being Repossessed

A resident was arrested for waving a gun at two men who were attempting to repossess his car

A 56-year-old Clawson man was arrested Sunday afternoon for reportedly pulling a gun out on two men who were attempting to repossess his vehicle, according to Clawson Police.

Police said the men had a valid order to repossess the 2007 Ford Taurus from the man's home on the 100 block of Charlevoix. The repossession agents told police that when the man discovered they were taking the car, he came outside and threatened to sic his dog on them and stated that he had a gun. Minutes later, the man went back inside the house and his son came outside to ask what was going on, police reports said.

After the agents explained that they were repossessing the vehicle, the son then left the scene and the 56-year-old man came back outside and attempted to get in the car, police said. He pulled out a gun moments later and waved it before the two agents, a police report says.
