Police Blotter: Lion Knocked Off Porch, Copper Piping Stolen and More

Highlights from recent Clawson Police Department reports:

Copper piping stolen

A Clawson homeowner told police someone stole the copper piping from his vacant house on the 70 block of Charlevoix some time before June 1.

The homeowner told police all the copper piping from the hot water tank and faucets was missing from the house. A police report said the homeowner's wife was in the house May 26 and didn't notice the copper piping was missing. A mortgage representative was also at the house on April 16 and didn't report any missing copper piping.

There was no additional damage to the house and there are no suspects, police say.

Door handle damaged

A manager at a business on the 1000 block of Crooks Road told police someone damaged the door handle of a semi-tractor that was parked outside the building between Monday night and Tuesday morning. There are no suspects.

Lion statue knocked over

A Clawson woman reported that someone knocked over a concrete lion statue that was sitting on her porch on the 40 block of Bellevue some time between 7:45 p.m. May 31 and 1 a.m. June 1. The woman said her husband noticed the damaged lion statue on the ground when he returned home at 1 a.m. The statue is valued at $200. There are no suspects.
