Police Blotter: Theft from Car, Christmas Lights Cut 3 Times

The following information was provided by the Clawson Police Department.

Following are highlights from recent reports:

Laptop, accessories stolen from minivan

A Clawson man told police that someone stole several items from his 2011 Dodge Caravan between 10 p.m. Dec. 27 and 7 a.m Dec. 28 on the 100 block of Tecumseh.

The victim told police his vehicle was parked in his driveway during the reported theft. Items stolen from the vehicle include a Dell Longitude laptop computer, power cord, wireless mouse, Sprint Internet wireless card and a laser pointer worth a combined total of $2,500, the report said. Police say the man's sunglasses and a small container with coins were also missing from the vehicle.

The victim told police he is "fairly certain" his car doors were locked and the vehicle was not damaged.

Christmas lights cut

A resident on the 1300 block of Langley told police that someone cut her exterior holiday lights for the third time over the holiday season.

The Clawson woman said she arrived home the morning of Dec. 30 to find the lights on her front lawn were cut again. The Clawson woman said her lights were cut in five places between Nov. 5-8, a police report said. She replaced them and on Dec. 4, she brought the lights inside and noticed they were cut again, the report said. There were no suspects.
