Reward Offered for Missing Clawson High Banners

Clawson Police have no suspects in the theft of the 'CHS' banners.

Clawson Police are investigating the theft of six "CHS" banners from the Clawson City Park over Memorial Day weekend.

The banners, each measuring 3x5 feet and colored blue and yellow in the tradition of Clawson High School, were last seen following the Trojans baseball game on Friday, May 24, at 10 p.m.

Clawson High varsity baseball coach Ralph Haney, who has led a fundraising effort which led to the recent renovation of the City Park baseball field, said that his family would offer $100 reward for the return of the flags. He suggests that anyone with information contact the high school, the police department, or his personal phone.

"All we want is the flags back," Haney said via e-mail. "A community has to feel safe in their surroundings. All of us working together can be sure to keep Clawson that way."

A report was filed on Tuesday, May 28, indicating that there are no known suspects in the case. The banners were valued at $390.

Coach Haney can be reached at (248) 613-6525.
