City Council Briefs: Clawson Joins Mutual Aid Pact, OK's Rochester Road Project

Assistant city attorney will be leaving to work in Traverse City.

City Council on Tuesday approved a request for Clawson to join a mutual aid agreement with building inspectors in other communities.

The Oakland County Building Officials Association Damage Assessment Mutual Aid Inter-Local Agreement includes 24 communities.

Under this agreement, building inspectors can help assess issues in other communities, for example, storm damage to structures. James Albus, Clawson's director of building and planning, said there is no cost for the city to sign on to this agreement. Albus said Ferndale and Farmington are also in the process of joining.
