Guardian Angels Celebrates Reading Month With Skype Call

School librarian wins students the chance to chat via video with a Cleveland author about her book that they read.

Students at are celebrating Reading Month in a unique and innovative way. On Friday, author Tricia Springstubb visited a class of fifth-graders via Skype. The students video chatted Springstubb on a projected screen. 

Teachers say Springstubb interacted with the students from her home in Cleveland. The class won the Skype session through a contest librarian Margaret Rainwater entered for the school.

Students were able to ask Springstubb questions about her book What Happened on Fox Street, which the students read.

"Mrs. Springstubb explained to the rapt audience of students and teachers about her background and how she became an award-winning author," a Guardian Angels press release said.
