Superintendent's Corner: How Does Clawson's Dropout Rate Stack Up?

Rates Released by State of Michigan show Clawson's dropout rate compares favorably in the graduation rate ranking to schools nearby.

According to statistics released this month by the Center for Educational Performance and Information, the four-year graduation rate at Clawson High School was 91.79 percent in 2012. Of the 134 Clawson High School students scheduled to earn diplomas within four years in 2012, 123 (91.79 percent graduated). Only two students (less than five percent) dropped out during their high school career.  This compares to the State of Michigan four-year graduation rate of 76.24 percent.

The chart below lists the graduation and dropout rates for Clawson High School and the schools closest to us.  Clawson High School has the lowest dropout rate and compares favorably in the graduation rate ranking.
