Key to awesomeness: O'Connell helped lead his football and basketball teams into winning seasons and district play this year. His success in the classroom and in sports may keep him on the field, competing on the collegiate level. The senior hasn't decided between studying at Central Michigan University or playing Division III football in either Boston or North Carolina as a student.

"There's Bentley University (Boston) and Bridgewater State University (North Carolina)," O'Connell said. "They give academic scholarships and I've been sending them film. They both said they'd love to have me."
