30 Days of Giving, Day 14: Donate to the Baldwin Center

Donate goodies to the Baldwin Center and receive a free yoga session.

This is part of a 30-day series of ways Patch community members can give back this holiday season. We hope you'll take part in this 30 Days of Giving and take the spirit beyond the holidays, because there truly is need all year long.

Shop, donate, yoga

Though many people donate to local organizations to simply help those in need, an incentive is always nice.

With this in mind, of Rochester will be giving away complimentary yoga sessions at the every Saturday through Dec. 24 to anybody who brings an item to donate to the Baldwin Center in Pontiac. Two sessions of yoga will take place each Saturday — one session of Power Yoga at 10 a.m. and a beginner yoga class at 11:30 a.m. No sign up is necessary for attendance and yoga sessions will be conducted in the storefront between The and the . Mats for participants will be available onsite.

A variety of items are currently being collected by the Baldwin Center including canned goods, warm clothes and gifts for its Holiday Store, where families can "shop" for free. Presents for teens are particularly needed, including electronics, books and games. For more information on how to donate to the Baldwin Center, visit its website at www.baldwincenter.org.
