Located in the City Hall building, the Clawson Police Department has a force of 17 officers and a two-man detective bureau. The department works with the Oakland County Mutual Aid Association to receive assistance from police in surrounding communities. Police Chief Harry Anderson said the most common crimes in Clawson are property crimes. Police also work in the community to educate students about bullying, donate to children in need and provide scholarships.
