Grumpy's in Clawson is closing its doors at the end of the month. The 50s style diner, which opened in 2007, will close on March 30, owner Doug Doney said Thursday. Doney did not want to comment on why they are closing but said he does not have plans to reopen. "We've had great support from the people of Clawson and the customers in the area. It's been real helpful," said Doney, who owns Grumpy's with his wife Wanda. "We're sorry that this thing is going down the way it's going down." Grumpy's, located at 230 S. Main Street in Clawson, offers burgers, fries, shakes, deli sandwiches and more in a distinctly vintage atmosphere.
